Steering

I worked on the steering system today. The part I thought would be hard was easy and the part I thought would be easy was hard. First was to install some shims inside the power steering pump to reduce the pressure so as not to blow out the seals on the power rack or cause twitchy steering. Easy.

Next was to install the hoses from the pump to the rack. Because of limited space the angles were all wrong. Not sure how you would do it when the fenders and front end are on? The hardest was adding the adaptor between the pump and hose. The threads just didn’t want to catch, that is what hammers are for😏

Also painted the brackets for the steering column so they will have time to dry.
